ASTM A249 Specfication covers nominal-wall-thickness welded tubes and heavily cold worked welded tubes made from the austenitic steels. ASTM A249 material shall conform to the prescribed tensile and hardness properties such as tensile strength， yield strength， elongation， and Rockwell hardness number.

Covers nominal-wall-thickness welded tubes and heavily cold worked welded tubes made from the austenitic steels listed in standard， with various grades intended for such use as boiler， superheater， heat exchanger， or condenser tubes.
1.1 本规范涵盖表 1 所列奥氏体钢制成的公称壁厚焊管，其中各种牌号的焊管用于锅炉、过热器、热交换器或冷凝器管。
1.2 牌号 TP304H、TP309H、TP309HCb、TP310H、TO310HCb、TP316H、TP321H、TP347H 和 TP348H 是牌号 TP304、TP309S、TP309Cb、TP310S、TP310Cb、TP316、TP321、TP347、TP348 的改进型，用于高温服务，如过热器和再热器。

1.5 如果需要一项或多项补充要求，则应在订单中注明。
1.6 以英制磅单位或国际单位制单位表示的数值应分别视为标准值。(两种系统的数值组合可能导致不符合规范）。除非订单中指定了本规范的 "M "名称，否则应使用英制磅单位。
