Overwiew
ASTM A815 is the standard specification for wrought ferritic， ferritic/austenitic， and martensitic stainless steel pipe fittings.
UNS S31803 has a higher chromium content which gives it equal corrosion resistance. It exhibits very high resistance to stress corrosion cracking even in chloride and sulfide environments. However， it causes embrittlement at temperatures above 300°C.
In addition， UNS S31803 Equal Tee has good strength and elongation. At low temperatures， its notch ductility is superior to ferritic and martensitic grades. Its operating temperature is at least -50°C. Therefore， this stainless steel fitting is ideal for cryogenic applications.
