1.4841 is a heat resistant steel which origins from 1.4828, but it's much more stable at high temperatures because of its higher chromium and nickel content to oxidation. This steel has good mechanical properties at high temperatures. This steel also has an excellent chemical resistance at temperatures up to 1,100 ° C. Due to its high nickel content, it is austenitic even at room temperature and thus it doesn't get hardness. It is also a non-magnetizing steel. It is a type of austenitic stainless steels due to its high nickel content. It is referred to as a material with high temperature resistance because the phase structure doesn't change at high usage temperatures and room temperature. High nickel and chromium content also makes it have high corrosion resistance.
