What is SS 316L tube?
The austenitic stainless steel used to make stainless steel 316L pipe/tube has a lower carbon content than the 316 grade and is composed of chromium, nickel, and molybdenum. It is simpler to use the pipes for welding applications because they contain little carbon.
316L Stainless Steel Features
316L Stainless Steel grade is molybdenum-bearing austenitic stainless steel, 316L is more resistant to general corrosion and pitting corrosion, crevice corrosion than the conventional chromium-nickel austenitic stainless steel such as 304.
316L Stainless Steel also offer higher creep, stress-to-rupture, and tensile strength at elevated temperature. The recommended temperature range includes -425°F to 1,200°F (-255°C to 605°C).
In addition to excellent corrosion resistance and strength properties, the Alloys 316 and 316L Cr-Ni-Mo alloys also provide excellent fabricability and formability which are typical of the austenitic stainless steel, 316L is often used in marine atmosphere.
We convey quality goods which incorporate SS 316L Pipes and Tubes. These 316L Pipes & Tubes are low carbon, molybdenum containing variations of 316. Our Stainless Steel Grade 316L Pipes & Tubes are known for their especially high imperviousness to pitting and crevice corrosion in chloride conditions.
