ASTM B865 K500/NO5500 Steel Pipe Fittings Round Bar

Scope:
This specification covers nickel-copper-aluminum alloy (UNS N05500) in the form of rounds， squares， hexagons， or rectangles， and forgings and forging stock， manufactured either by hot working or cold working， and cold-worked wire.

Characteristic
ASTM B865 Bar is a precipitation-hardenable material of copper-nickel and it combines the superb corrosion resistance characteristics possessed by Monel 400， but the big plus with it is that it has greater hardness and strength. As compared to Alloy 400， Monel K500 Round Bar has roughly double the tensile strength and thrice the yield strength. Also， Alloy K500 can be strengthened even more， by cold working， before carrying out precipitation hardening. The welding of Alloy K500 can be done by the process of gas-tungsten-arc welding.
