ASTM B622 UNS NI0276 Hastelloy C276 Low Carbon Nickel Alloy Seamless Tubes

TONG CHUANG Group as one of the leading suppliers in China to supply nickel alloy and tubes, etc.,we have many experiences in exporting.

ASTM B622 This specification covers and tube of nickel and nickel-cobalt alloys.

Alloy C-276 is commonly referred to by the tradename Hastelloy C-276 and the universal designation UNS N10276. it is a nickel-chromium-molybdenum solid solution strengthened super-alloy with a nominal chemical composition of 57% nickel, 16% chromium, and 16% molybdenum, with additions of iron, tungsten, and cobalt. C-276 is often used in extremely corrosive environments that other alloys cannot withstand.

Distinctive Characteristic

Corrosion Resistance

Alloy C-276 is one of the most corrosion-resistant alloys available. C-276 has excellent resistance to reducing and oxidizing acids, including sulfuric, hydrochloric, and acetic acids. It also performs well in seawater, chlorides, wet chlorine gas, oxidizing salts, and hypochlorite. The molybdenum and tungsten content protects against various forms of localized corrosion, including pitting, crevice corrosion, and chloride stress corrosion cracking.

Elevated Temperature Resistance

C-276 resists oxidation at temperatures up to 1900°F (1038°C).

Heat Treatment

C-276 cannot be strengthened by heat treating. C-276 is typically solution annealed at 2050°F (1121°C) followed by rapid cooling.

C-276 can be hot worked in the range of 1600°F – 2250°F (870°C – 1230°C). Annealing is recommended after hot working.

Applications

C-276 is widely used in the oil and gas industry for its corrosion resistance in a variety of corrosive substances. In the upstream oil and gas sector, C-276 plays a critical role in corrosive, sour service environments containing high concentrations of H2S, CO2 and chlorides. It is also used in other harsh environment industries, including the pharmaceutical and paper industries.
