What is C22 Hastelloy?
Alloy C22 is a nickel-chromium-molybdenum solid solution strengthened super-alloy with a nominal chemical composition of 56% nickel, 22% chromium, and 13% molybdenum, with additions of iron, tungsten, and cobalt. It is commonly referred to by the tradename Hastelloy C22 and the universal designation UNS N06022.

 

Some areas of current or potential use for Hastelloy C22 ERW Pipes are Acetic acid / Acetic Anhydride, chlorine spargers, cellophane manufacturing, and so on. Alloy C22 Seamless Tubes are formed by gas tungsten-arc, gas metal-arc, and shielded metal-arc processes. Alloy C22 Welded Tubes meet or exceed critical industry standards from the ASTM, ASME, ISO, and DIN families.

 

Corrosion-resistant and high-temperature alloys such as Alloy C22 EFW Tubes are stocked in several global service centers and ready for immediate delivery.

 

The Hastelloy C22 Tube can be used in an as-welded condition due to its excellent weldability and resistance to the formation of grain-boundary precipitate. Nickel & cobalt base corrosion, temperature, and wear-resistant alloys such as Alloy C22 ERW Tubes are classified as moderate to difficult when machining.
