S31803 stainless steel, also known as 2205 stainless steel, has a dual-phase microstructure consisting of roughly equal parts of austenite and ferrite phases. It is a popular grade of duplex stainless steel, the unique structure contributes to its excellent combination of mechanical strength and corrosion resistance properties.
