ASTM A403 / ASME SA403 / EN10253-4 WP316L 1.4404 CAP STAINLESS STEEL BUTT WELD FITTING
Overview:
The 316L cap is an end fitting used to seal the end of a pipe or tube made from stainless steel alloy 316L. It is designed with a convex or flat top and a cylindrical body that fits over the pipe end. The cap is available in various sizes and connection types such as threaded, socket weld, or butt weld.
One of the notable features of the 316L cap is its excellent corrosion resistance, especially in chloride-rich environments. It is resistant to corrosion, oxidation, and pitting, making it suitable for applications in industries such as chemical processing, pharmaceuticals, food and beverage, and oil and gas.
The 316L cap is commonly used to provide a secure closure to prevent leakage or contamination in piping systems. It is highly dependable and can withstand various temperatures and pressures, depending on the specific design, size, and applicable standards.
