Originally intended for those applications involving dilute sulfuric acid, 904l stainless steel tubing is widely used in the chemical processing industry. Specifically, stainless steel 904l pipe or also known as UNS N08904, used in the production of phosphate based fertilizers. 904l is considered a super austenitic stainless grade with added molybdenum and copper content in its alloy to enhance its mechanical or corrosion resistance.

 

Description

Material 1.4539 (Alloy 904L) is an austenitic special steel with high molybdenum, high copper and very low carbon content.
