Description
Alloy 321 Tube is a versatile grade of austenitic stainless steel. Also referred to as by its trade name UNS S32100, stainless steel grade ASTM A312 Tp321 is a titanium stabilized alloy. . The 321 stainless steel tube is stabilized by titanium with a chemical composition of 17 to 19 percent chromium and 9 to 12 percent nickel. These pipes exhibit enhanced corrosion and oxidation resistance in stress-induced environments. 321 SS tubes are insensitive to intergranular corrosion when heated in the carbide precipitation range of 425 to 850 degrees Celsius. These pipes are a good choice for applications where temperatures are around 900 degrees Celsius. 1.4541 Pipelines incorporate high strength and water resistant corrosive media. The minimum tensile strength of the pipeline is 515mpa and the minimum yield strength is 205mpa. These pipes can easily stretch by 40 percent. 321 stainless steel tube has a density of 8.0kg /cm3 and a hardness of 217max Brinell. The tubes can be solution treated or annealed by heating at temperatures ranging from 950 °C to 1120°C followed by rapid cooling, thereby improving their strength and corrosion resistance.
