ASTM A213 TP316L(1.4404, UNS S31603) is a specification of heat exchanger tube produced from the 316L austenitic stainless steel. ASTM A 213 standard covers tube for heat exchangers in ferritic and austenitic steels. ASTM A213 TP316L is a lower carbon version of the TP316 material steel. Therefore, ASTM A213 TP316L has more toughness but less strength compared to the TP316 grade SS pipes. ASTM A213 TP316L stainless steel seamless tube could be produced under electric resistance weld, electric fusion weld or by cold drawing.
