ASME SB622 UNS N10276 Alloy C276 Seamless Nickel Alloy Tube

Alloy C276 seamless nickel tubing is a nickel-molybdenum-chromium alloy having excellent corrosion resistance in a wide range of severe environments. The high molybdenum content makes this alloy especially resistant to pitting and crevice corrosion. The low carbon content minimizes carbide precipitation during welding to maintain corrosion resistance in as-welded structures.
The Hastelloy C276 Pipe is covered by 2 specifications i.e. ASTM B622 as well as ASTM B619. Typically the ASTM B622 Pipe is constructed in a seamless manner, whereas the construction of the ASTM B619 Pipe is welded. Amongst all the Hastelloy variations the C276 Hastelloy Pipe is the most popular one.
Characteristics
Alloy C276 is one of the few alloys resistant to wet chloride gas, hypochlorite and chlorine dioxide solutions.
Alloy C276 has exceptional resistance to strong solutions of oxidizing salts, such as ferric and cupric chlorides.
Alloy C276 is not prone to grain boundary precipitation in the as welded condition and therefore suitable for many chemical process applications
