ASME SB366 UNS NO6600 ALLOY600 REDUCER NICKEL ALLOY BW FITTTING
Abstract
The UNS N06600 Reducer is used to reduce the pipe diameter. There are eccentric and concentric types of reducers. All of the fittings in this grade have good strength. The minimum yield strength of the material is 310MPa and the minimum tensile strength is 655MPa.The Inconel 600 Pipe Fittings have slightly higher density than the 304 and 316 grades of materials. The different fittings are used in high temperature service applications such as heat exchangers and boiler components. Due to the excellent oxidation resistance and corrosion resistance at elevated temperatures as well as cryogenic temperatures, these are used in a variety of applications. The ASME SB366 Alloy 600 End Cap is a fitting that is special in that it closes a pipe line rather than connecting two pipes.
