ASME SB163 UNS N04400 Nickel Alloy Embedded G Type Finned Tube With Aluminum Fins
UNS N04400 is a Nickel-Copper Alloy (about 67% Ni – 23% Cu) that is resistant to seawater and steam at high temperatures. Monel 400 is a solid solution alloy which can only be hardened by cold processing. This nickel alloy steel exhibits features like good corrosion resistance, good weldability and high strength. It has a low corrosion rate in the brackish or seawater and has excellent resistance to stress-corrosion cracking in the most freshwater. It also has resistance to various corrosive conditions which leads to its widely use in marine applications and other non-oxidizing chloride solutions. This nickel alloy has resistant to hydrochloric and hydrofluoric acids when they are de-aerated.
“G” Fin Tubes have a helical groove formed in the tube surface with an uplift of metal each side which, when peened back into the fin, grips it securely. This ensures high heat transfer as well as producing a secure mechanical bond.
