ASME SA516 GR. 70 /Gr. 70N TubeSheet and Baffle( Pruebas de tubo) for Heatexchanger
Tubesheet is commonly utilized in various equipment such as shell and tube heat exchangers, boilers, pressure vessels, and steam turbines. Its metallic composition provides not only strong rigidity but also excellent heat conduction performance.
ASTM A516 Gr.70+N steel exhibits good weldability and high resistance to brittle cracking, making it a preferred material for manufacturing pressurized gas vessels, steam boilers, pressure piping, compressors, and more. In a shell and tube heat exchanger, the tubesheet serves as a key component. Depending on the tube bundle configuration, the heat exchanger may feature one or two tubesheets. Typically, these tubesheets are made of low carbon steel, but in certain applications like petrochemical, nuclear, oil & gas industries, Stainless Steel or Superalloys may be used.
Baffles are components of shell and tube heat exchangers which are used to support and fix the tubes in a defined position. There are different types of baffle configurations. The most popular type is the perforated plate in the form of a segmented circle. The segmental baffles are arranged so that the segmented section faces are disposed opposite to each other along a bundle of tubes at specified interval. No Tube in Window (NTIW) baffles, Helically-shaped baffles, full support baffle are other types that can be fabricated in our company.
Baffle plate is widely used in shell and tube heat exchanger, boiler, pressure vessel, steam turbine, large central air conditioning, etc. The baffle sheet is mainly used for chemical containers, such as shell and tube heat exchanger, boiler, pressure vessel, condenser, central air conditioning, evaporator, water desalination with the function of supporting the tube bundle and improving heating efficiency.

Where is the stationary Tubesheet located in the floating head heat exchanger?
The tubesheet at the rear header end of the shell is of slightly smaller diameter than the shell, allowing the bundle to be pulled through the shell. The use of a floating head means that thermal expansion can be allowed for and the tube bundle can be removed for cleaning.
