Manufacturing Process:
Aluminium finned strips are tension wound and placed into grooves cut in the tube to a depth of approximately 0.4mm.
Flat end surface protection:
The ends of the grooved G-fin tubes shall be galvanised or aluminised by means of an arc spray system.
Acceptance Criteria:
API Standard 661 (for air-cooled heat exchangers in general refineries) or Delivery Conditions (TDC).
Accessories:
Tube support boxes, clamps or spacer boxes (materials: aluminium, zinc and stainless steel).
Delivery conditions:
G-Fin embedded finned tubes are supplied with square-cut, burr-free tube ends, internally dry and purged, and varnished at both ends.
Desiccant is also placed in each package for transport on the continent.
