ASTM A234 is the standard specification for steel pipe fittings suitable for use in medium and high temperature environments, including carbon steel and alloy steel materials. Carbon steel ASTM A234 fittings are used for medium and high temperature pressure piping. Pipe fitting materials in this standard include killed steel, forgings, rods, plates, and seamless or fusion welded pipes with filler metal added. These fitting materials include killed steel, forgings, rods, plates, and seamless (fusion welded) tubing products with added filler metal.

ASTM A234 is the standard specification for steel pipe fittings, including carbon and alloy steel materials suitable for medium and high temperature environments. It covers seamless and welded types of steel fittings. Steel pipe fittings are used in pressure pipe and pressure vessel manufacturing. These fitting materials include killed steel, forgings, rods, plates, seamless or HFW (fusion welded) tubing products with added filler metal.
