Butt Weld Fittings ASTM A403 WP316L-S Stainless Steel Type A Stub End MSS SP-43
The ASTM A403 WP316L Stainless Steel Pipe Fittings is a common austenitic steel alloy. With primary constituents of ironļ¼ chromiumļ¼ nickelļ¼ and molybdenumļ¼ these fittings have highly resistant to corrosion and can suffice under extreme temperatures. The WP316L SS Pipe Fittings have excellent welding and forming properties. These low carbon steel fittings also have high tensile and yield strength.
Stub Ends are buttweld fittings that can be used (in combination with a lap joint flange) alternatively to welding neck flanges to make flanged connections. The type A stub end is used for standard lap joint flange. The lap thickness on the stub end is greater than or equal to the nominal thickness of pipe wall.

Common Types:
Type A: Type A” is the common type as it is matching with lap joint flange specially.
Type B: This type is mainly used for slip-on flanges and backing flangesļ¼ its lap angle is different from Type A.
Type C: It can be used either with lap joint flange or slip-on flange. But it is not common type.
