A182 F53 S32750 Super Duplex Steel 90Deg Elbow B16.9 Gas Chemical
The material used in A182 F53 (and other specifications listed below) is described as super duplex stainless steel with a 50:50 austenitic and ferrite structure. The steel combines high mechanical strength (typically up to 570 mpa yield strength) with good ductility and excellent corrosion resistance in Marine environments. A182 F53 alloy is >=40.0, ensuring high pitting resistance. In addition, the steel has a high resistance to crevice corrosion and stress corrosion cracking. Notch ductility at ambient temperatures and below zero (below 50°C) is good. These properties mean that this super duplex steel can be used successfully as an alternative to 300 series stainless steels (such as Type 316), standard 22% chromium duplex steels (such as UNS S31803/1.4462 and PREN 33-34) and precipitation-hardened stainless steels (typically 17/4PH).

A182F53 is one of the more advanced duplex stainless steel grades. Super duplex stainless steel refers to PREN>40, containing 25%Cr and high molybdenum (>3.5%), high nitrogen (0.22% ~ 0.30%) duplex steel, The main grades are UNS S32550(UR52N+), S32750 (SAF 2507) and S32760(Zeron 100), developed by CLI of France, SANDVIK of Sweden and MATER+PLATT of the United Kingdom, respectively.
SAF2507(S32750) has strong resistance to chloride corrosion, high thermal conductivity and low coefficient of thermal expansion. High chromium, molybdenum and nitrogen content, it has a high resistance to spot corrosion, crack corrosion and general corrosion ability. Its impact strength is also very high,2507 alloy is not suitable for use in a temperature environment higher than 570 ° C, long-term in such an environment, its toughness will be reduced. Mainly used in offshore oil platforms (heat exchanger tube, water treatment and water supply system, fire fighting system, sprinkler system, water stabilization system), desalination (desalination) equipment (Ro equipment in high pressure pipe, seawater pipe) and other special chemical environment equipment.
