What is monel 400?

Monel400 alloy (UNS NO4400 or MCu-28-1.5-1.8 or Ni68Cu28Fe) is a nickel-based alloy material with good corrosion resistance in seawaterļ¼Œ chemical solventsļ¼Œ ammoniaļ¼Œ sulfurļ¼Œ chlorineļ¼Œ hydrogen chlorideļ¼Œ and a variety of acidic mediumsļ¼Œ such as sulfuric acidļ¼Œ hydrofluoric acidļ¼Œ hydrochloric acidļ¼Œ phosphoric acidļ¼Œ organic acidsļ¼Œ alkaline mediumsļ¼Œ salts and molten salts. This alloy has a strongļ¼Œ corrosion-resistant comprehensive performanceļ¼Œ widely used in chemical and other industries. For exampleļ¼Œ it is used in the manufacture of heatersļ¼Œ heat exchangersļ¼Œ evaporatorsļ¼Œ distillation kettlesļ¼Œ distillation towersļ¼Œ condensers for fatty acid treatmentļ¼Œ equipment for the treatment of rosin-tinged acidļ¼Œ chemical pumps and so on.
