ASTM B514 800H UNS NO8800 Inconel Alloy Welded Pipe Gas Processing
Incoloy 800 (N08800) Inconel 800 nickel based alloy/high-temperature alloy:
The Cr content in 800 alloy is usually 15-25%ļ¼ the nickel content is 30-45%ļ¼ and it contains a small amount of aluminum and titanium.
The 800 alloy is in a single austenite zone after high temperature and rapid coolingļ¼ thereforeļ¼ it is in a single austenite structure in use.The alloy has a high chromium content and sufficient nickel contentļ¼ so it has high high-temperature corrosion resistance and is widely used in industry. It has excellent resistance to stress corrosion cracking in chlorideļ¼ low concentration NaOH aqueous solutionļ¼ and high-temperature and high-pressure waterļ¼ so it is used for manufacturing equipment that is resistant to stress corrosion cracking
Incoloy800 application areas
chemical industry
Nuclear generator
Nitric acid coolerļ¼ acetic anhydride cracking pipe
Heat exchange equipment
Incoloy800 processing
Hot working:
1. The temperature range is 1200 ā~950 āļ¼ and the cooling method is water quenching or rapid air cooling.
2. In order to obtain the best performance and creep resistanceļ¼ solution treatment should be carried out after Hot working.
3. The materials can be directly sent into the furnace that has been heated to 1200 āļ¼ and the furnace can be quickly discharged after holding for enough timeļ¼ and Hot working can be carried out within the specified temperature range. When the material temperature drops below the Hot working temperatureļ¼ it needs to be reheated.
Cold working:
1. The work hardening rate is greater than that of austenitic stainless steelļ¼ so it is necessary to select processing equipment. Cold worked materials should be in the solution heat treated stateļ¼ and intermediate annealing should be carried out when the cold work volume is large.
2. If the cold processing amount is greater than 10%ļ¼ the workpiece needs to undergo secondary solid solution treatment.
Incoloy800 welding process
It is suitable to use any traditional welding process to weld with the same material or other metalsļ¼ such as tungsten inert gas weldingļ¼ plasma arc weldingļ¼ manual sub arc weldingļ¼ metal inert gas weldingļ¼ MIG weldingļ¼ and pulsed Arc welding is the preferred solution. If Shielded metal arc welding is adoptedļ¼ it is recommended to use (Ar+He+H2+CO2) as the shielding gas.
