Heat Exchanger Parts, ASTM A182 F316L, 1.4404 Stainless Steel Forged Tubesheets
Tubesheets are one of the most important components of Shell and Tube Heat Exchangers. Stainless steel forged tubesheets are usually made from a round flat piece of forged plate which are made with holes drilled for the tube ends in a precise location and pattern relative to one another. Tube holes can be drilled and reamed and can be machined with one or more grooves which increases the strength of the tube joint.
ASTM A182 F316L stainless steel is ideal for tubesheets in applications where corrosion resistance, high-temperature strength, and resistance to chemicals and acids are important. SS316L material is commonly used in environments involving exposure to chlorides, which can cause corrosion in regular stainless steels.
