Tubesheet are mainly produced from forged material and are also widely used in heat exchangers, chemical vessels, which support fixed tubes and have excellent thermal conductivity. These pressure vessels, commonly referred to as shell and tube heat exchangers, are the most common heat exchangers used in oil refineries and large chemical plants. The tube mirror itself serves as a support element in heat exchangers and boilers. The tube mirror is so named because the tubes – which are carefully arranged in a specific pattern – penetrate the tube mirror in several places to allow the fluid inside these tubes to enter and exit the heat exchanger. The fluid flowing through the tubes inside the casing exchanges heat with the fluid flowing into the casing, but passes through the outside of the tubes exchanging heat with the tube fluid.
