What is HFW Finned Tube?
The welded steel finned tube configuration can be used in any practical heat exchanger application and is particularly suitable for high temperature and high pressure applications. The important feature of this configuration is the efficient bonding of the fins to the tube under all temperature and pressure conditions, and the ability to withstand high temperatures on the fin side.
A continuous spiral fin is attached to the base tube by high frequency resistance welding to provide an efficient and thermally reliable bond.

Fin Tube Principle
The basic principle of this finned tube is to weld the outer packaging strip on the seamless steel pipe at a certain distance (the steel strip is perpendicular to the outer surface of the steel pipe) with high frequency current as the heat source.
Using the skin effect and electrical effect of high-frequency current, the locally heated steel pipe, steel strip and the contact surface to be welded plastic welding occurs.
At the same time, the forging force of the finned tube acts as a plastic form of metal oxide and excess melt outside the contact surface, thus realizing a solid atomic bond between the steel tube and the finned material.
