Studded Pipe also called studded tubes, Nailhead Pipe or stud Pipe, which is made by electrical Resistance welding specially formed Studs in rows around the tube. Studded tubes are used as substitution of finned tubes.

Studded Tube Advantages:

To increase the surface area of the tube and to protect tube surface from direct exposure to heat /corrosive environment.

Studding reduces the amount of bare pipes used in these processes. Heat transfer surface of one studded pipe is equivalent to surface of 4 to 10 bare pipes.

Use of studded tubes is ideal for processes/applications, where dirty fuels are used in harsh environments.

To expand the heat transfer area of the light tube by 2 to 3 times, it can improve the heat transfer coefficient of the flue gas side, improve the comprehensive thermal efficiency of the equipment, and is an energy-saving heat transfer element. Its main function is to expand the heat transfer area of the tube and improve the thermal efficiency of the heating furnace.
