ASTM A179 Seamless Steel Tubes are supplied and produced by cold drawing method. The chemical composition includes carbon, manganese, phosphorus and sulphur.
SA179 tubes contain the corresponding measurements: ASTM A179/ASME SA179 seamless tubes – hot rolled or cold drawn in that order, with outside diameters from 1/4" NB to 2" NB (nominal bore diameter), thicknesses from 1 mm to 8 mm, lengths of 5,800 mm / 6,000 mm / 6,096 mm / 7,315 mm / 1,1800 mm, etc., and up to lengths of 27,000 mm. A179 Seamless Cold Drawn Mild Steel Heat Exchanger and Condenser Tubes are certified and tested for Impact Test, Heat Treatment, Hardness Test, Flattening Test, Reverse Flattening Test, Flanging Test and Hydrostatic Pressure Test.

G Type Embedded Spiral Finned Tube
 

A finned tube is a heat exchange element. In order to improve the heat exchange efficiency, fins are usually added to the surface of the heat exchange tube to increase the outer surface area (or inner surface area) of the such a heat exchange tube.

The outer surface of the finned tube is covered with small fins. The function of these fins is to act as a transfer process and filtration. Heat is usually transferred from the inside to the outside and then in reverse.

Aluminum fin strips are wound and embedded in grooves and are securely locked in place by closing the grooves with the bottom metal tube. This ensures maximum heat transfer at high temperatures.

The maximum operating temperature of the G-type heat sink is 450 degrees Celsius. Commonly used materials for heat sinks are aluminum (or) copper, carbon steel tubes, stainless steel, copper, copper alloys, etc.
