ASTM A312 (ASME SA312) TP304 Stainless Steel for Petrochemical Application

The ASTM A312 TP304 Pipe is used for high pressure and high temperature applications because of the high operating temperature of 870 degrees Celsius and the strength. The minimum yield strength of the SS UNS S30400 ERW Pipe is 205MPa and the minimum tensile strength is 515MPa. The applications include commercial, industrial, domestic and general corrosive services. The ASME SA312 Grade 304 Welded Pipe is one of the most cost effective stainless steel pipes in the market. These are also the most used of stainless steel pipes in the world.
The standard specifications include seamless, straight seam welded and heavily cold welded austenitic stainless steel tubing for high temperature and general corrosive service. There are several grades in this standard, and each steel grade shall confirm to the required chemical composition of C, Mn, P, S, Si, Cr and Cr, Ni, Mo, etc. All the pipes shall be furnished in the heat-treated condition in accordance with the required heat treating temperature and cooling/testing requirements. And also need to comply to the required tensile strength and yield strength.
